The difference between the particle size of the filter belt and the particle size to be carried in the material should be appropriate. In the filtering process, filter cake is generally formed. At the beginning of the filtering process, it is mainly filter belt. Once the filter cake layer is formed, the bridge between particles is formed. At this time, the filter cake layer and filter belt filter at the same time. When the filtrate passes through the filter cake layer, some small particles have been intercepted by the filter cake, and the filtering accuracy at this time will be higher than the filtering accuracy at the beginning of the filtering process. Therefore, it is suitable for high concentration filtration with low filtration precision requirements.
The difference between the penetrating particle size of the selected filter belt and the particle size to be intercepted in the material should not be too large, so as to avoid short circuit of filter cake during filtering.
For filtration with high filtration accuracy requirements or filtration of thin slurry without filter cake, when selecting filter belt, the particle size of the selected filter belt shall not be greater than the particle size to be retained in the material to ensure its filtration accuracy.
The initial filtration rate, the permeable resistance of the filter belt and the initial filtration rate of pressurization and vacuum filtration all indicate the ability of the filter belt to allow fluid to pass through under different conditions, which can indirectly indicate the initial filtration rate of the filter belt. The initial filtration rate of pressurized filtration and vacuum filtration refers to the passing capacity of the liquid phase when the filter belt filters representative thin materials under pressurized or vacuum conditions.
